Compliance with local regulations for Alternative Septic Use  

With General Use Approval by DEP OMNI RSFs can be used to meet all local zoning ordinances and policies for Alternative Septic Use.

Satisfy Requirements by:
  • Planning Boards
  • Zoning Boards
  • Conservation Commissions

 
 
Remedial Use and Nitrogen Sensitive Areas including Zone II's  

As stated in 310 CMR 15.217 (Title V) Recirculating Sand Filters (RSFs) are approved for General Use in Nitrogen Sensitive areas with flows less than 2,000 GPD at a loading rate of 550 gal/acre.

In Remedial Use Applications the following reductions can be taken:

  • 50% reduction is soil absorption system;
  • Reduction to ground water;
  • Reduction in naturally occurring material.

 
 
General Use Applications  

Recirculating Sand Filters are often the preferred method of treatment in various size applications ranging from Single Family Dwellings (SFD) to Municipal Wastewater Facilities.

  • Commercial Use
  • Decentralized or "Cluster" Applications
  • Municipal Applications
  • Remedial Use
  • Nitrogen Sensitive Areas
