Commonwealth of Massachusetts DEP Approvals
RSFs are an Innovative/Alternative septic technology approved by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the following uses:
General Use Approval
General Use Approval Nitrogen Reduction (550 gal/acre)
Remedial Use Approval (50% reduction in soil absorption system, 2' reduction to ground water, reduction in naturally occurring material)
Piloting Approval Nitrogen Reduction (660 gal/acre)
