1. Does the Filter Media ever need to be changed?
NO the Filter Media used in the OMNI RSFs will last for the life of the system. The ONLY circumstance that could require excavation of this material would be the intrusion of a foreign substance that can not be manually flushed out (i.e. oil, hazards wastes, high level of silt, clay or any other type of material the could render the filter bed surface impermeable.

2. How long does a typical installation usually take?
A typical installation usually takes anywhere from 1-2 days for the excavation part of the system installation and about 1 day to make all electrical connections to power up the system itself.

3. Who pays for the system components?
Typically, either the homeowner or the subcontractor. Whomever signs the contract is ultimately responsible for payment.

4. What size pipe is needed to attach all of the OMNI components?
All OMNI components come pre-manufactured with 3" piping installed. You will need a variety of 3" pvc fittings and some 4"x 3" pvc reducers to connect the Septic Tank to the Recirculation Tank and then to connect the Recirculation Tank to the D-box.

5. Are there additional Sign-offs?
NO. The system should have the same type of Board of Health and Engineers sign-off proceedures. Most local authoraties do require valid Maintenance and Testing Contracts with system owners prior to issuing a Certificate of Compliance. This is the responsibility of the system owner.

6.What size pump is used in the system?
The typical effluent pump we use in the system is rated as follows:
Hp: 1/2, Volt: 120, Ph: 1, Nema Start Code: D, Full Load Amps: 9.4, Cord Size: 14/3
All necessary pumps are shipped with the system.

7. Can the electrical junction box be mounted inside the riser?
NO. Electrical connections should never be made inside of any tank that has a gaseous environment. Make connections outside the riser in a weatherproof junction box that has a sealed conduit running from the Recirculation Tank riser to the junction box.

8. Can the Control Panel be mounted Outside?
Yes. The Control Panel can be mounted either outside or inside. OMNI requires the panel be mounted outside whenever possible.

9. Can woodchips be used to cover the filter modules?
Yes. Any bark mulch type of material can be used to cover the Filter Module area.
