OMNI RSFs produce a high quality effluent with approximately 85% to 95% BOD and TSS removal. In addition, depending on modifications in design and operation, 50% - 85% or more of applied nitrogen can be removed.

Although physical processes play an important role in the removal of many particles, the biological process plays the most important role. The OMNI RSFs are designed and maintained to enhance the overall performance of the RSF system.
