Maintenance Procedures

|
Operation and maintenance visits are conducted on a quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis for all OMNI RSF Systems. The Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator will inspect the following during the maintenance visit:
Septic Tank: The Operator will check the condition of the septic tank, a sludge depth measurement is taken in order to determine if the system needs to be pumped, the scum layer depth is also measured, and the effluent filter is inspected and cleaned if necessary.
Recirculation Tank: The Operator will check the condition of the Recirculation Tank and perform a series of field tests, including temperature and turbidity readings.
Pumps, Switches, Floats, Control Panel and Alarms: The Operator will check the pump(s), floats, control panel (if accessable) and alarms in order to make sure they are operational.
Filter Modules: The Operator will check the condition of the filter modules, the operator will inspect for ponding and will inspect all lateral lines for blockages and if flushing or brushing of the lateral lines is needed, it will be conducted at the time of the maintenance visit.
