Seasonal use owners can shut the system down simply by contacting OMNI. System owners should have the system automatically shut down and turned on to coincide with seasonal use. IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED THAT SYSTEMS BE LEFT ON WHEN NOT IN USE DURING WINTER MONTHS.
- It is recommended that if the system is going to experience intermittent use through an extended period of time, the system should be shut down between periods of non-use. For example, weekend winter use of summer homes; leave system shut down during the week and turned on for weekend use.
- Always remember to notify OMNI of any intended long winter periods of non-use.
Once the water is shut off to the dwelling, the system is considered in-operable and MUST be shut down for the season. Winterized dwellings that are periodically used throughout the winter seasons can be left in the standard operating mode.
To shutdown your system for an extended period of time, simply contact OMNI to have your system properly shut down.
Systems that will be shut down throughout the winter months should be scheduled for fall maintenance visits to coincide with use of dwelling.
