Alarms and Procedures

In the event of an alarm sounding, simply follow the Alarm Procedures listed below:

These systems have a minimum design reserve capacity to accommodate 24 hours of system use. Reducing system use during alarm conditions can substantially increase this reserve capacity.

Alarm indicators

A red light is located on the front of the Control Panel and indicates the systems status. For the control panels used to operate the OMNI RSF the light schedule is as follows:
  • No light - System Operating Correctly (No Action Required)
  • Flashing Red Light - Low Water Level Alarm (No Action Required)
  • Solid Red Light - High Water Level Alarm Condition

The following are recommended procedures for High Water Level Alarm Conditions:

For systems with the Fail-safe design:

  1. Simply disable the buzzer by pressing in the red light on the front of the Control Panel;
  2. Let system set for 1-2 hours and the light should turn off automatically;
  3. If the system continues to alarm, disable the buzzer again and contact OMNI for a scheduled maintenance call.

For Systems without the Fail-safe design (Systems with a Pressure Dosed SAS):

  1. Simply disable the buzzer by pressing in the red light on the front of the Control Panel;
  2. Let system set for 1-4 hours and the light should turn off automatically;
  3. If system continues to alarm, disable the buzzer again and Contact OMNI to schedule maintenance visit. System will continue to function without interruption for 24-48 hours.

Incase of alarm condition for systems without a complete fail-safe design, reducing system use can significantly increase the reserve time. This can be accomplished by practicing common water conservation methods including, shortening shower times, eliminating dishwasher use, and reducing the flushing of toilets.

IMPORTANT: You must not attempt to remedy alarm warnings by making adjustments to the timer or switching the system to a manual operating mode. Only a qualified system maintainer should ever adjust the timer settings. Altering the controls can void the warranty. Incorrect adjustments can lead to system failure. Such problems can be very expensive to correct.
